This event, which is open to the public, will take place at the Université Paris Cité, on the Saints-Pères site.

  • 9:45-10:30 a.m. Cécile Canut sociolinguist and filmmaker (université Paris Cité, IUF, Cerlis) Project presentation: Roma Dikhila: the memorial turning point in the Romanès worlds
  • 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Jonathan Larcher anthropologist and filmmaker, lecturer in visual anthropology (Université Paris Nanterre) The Silver Chronicles of Matéo Maximoff: multimodal writing in the life of a romani writer and pastor
  • 1:00-11:30 a.m. Meghanne Barker, socio-cultural and linguistic anthropologist, associate professor, department of Media & communication, University College London. The Social Lives of Image-Texts and Other Media Objects: Anthropological Approaches to Multimodal Cultures
  • 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Erell Latimier, sociolinguist and musician, associate researcher at the Cerlis laboratory, Paris Recording and composing in the field: writing for several people

 Lunch.

  •  2pm - 4pm Round table: research experiences in Art Studies, Visual Studies, Sound Studies.
  • 12-12:30 a.m. Ognyan Isaev, PHD in Cultural Studies, Sofia University, Bulgaria. Specialist in Romani studies and Education. With  Ognyan Isaev, Siv B. Lie, Alaina Lemon, Elana Resnick, Ivo Strahilov.
  • 4pm-5pm PROJECTION of the DOCUMENTARY FILM Nadezhda (first episode Le Bal) directed by Cécile Canut and Stefka Stefanova Nikolova (film in post-production) Discussion about the film.
